Chicago’s Mayfest is the annual kick-off event for the summer festival season. This event is known for showcasing some of the best music, entertainment, and festival food in all of Chicago. Now, going on their 25th anniversary. Formerly a parking lot block party in Lakeview, Mayfest has moved to its new home in the heart of Lincoln Park! Jacksonville Beach development continues, as Demolition begins today on the former Campeche Bay Cantina and Ruby Beach Brewing Co. buildings at Jacksonville Beach, making way to construct a two-story restaurant and retail building.  Developer Marc Angelo, formerly of The Angelo Group, plans to build an approximately 19,000-square-foot facility that would house at least one restaurant and event space. The remaining space would be available for either a second restaurant or a retail tenant. Angelo has named the project the Jax Beach Town Center.  This ‘gateway to Jax Beach’ is coming after a newly opened Margaritaville Jacksonville Beach Hotel....

The festival announced 181 bands and artists Wednesday. Daily lineups will be announced at a later date, the festival said. Four-day passes are available now at Lollapalooza.com starting at $340 for general admission, up to $4,200 for platinum packages, not including fees. Single-day tickets (price range: $130 to $2000) will be available at a later date. Lollapalooza is a 4-Day music festival happening Aug. 1-4, 2019 at historic Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois, USA. The Stokes and Twenty One Pilots are among the freshly announced acts leading the charge for rock music at this August’s Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.
