Chicago’s 2021 Christkindlmarket in Two Locations

Here's What to Know. The 25th annual Chicago Christkindlmarket will return in-person this year, with two locations, both opening Friday. Admission to both markets is free. The holiday markets feature traditional German and European live music, shopping, and food and drinks, including stuffed gourmet pretzels, spiced wine, schnitzel, Belgian hot chocolate, and more. For a sit-down meal, you can reserve an alpine-themed Stammtisch table in the heated Timber Haus for up to 8 people for 90 minutes at the downtown Chicago location. This year, the souvenir mug design is a boot shape. It's accompanied by a dark emerald green color to match the logo and a Chicago skyline. The Peppermint the Penguin mug is also back for the market's 25th anniversary this winter. Mummified human remains discovered at Pompeii

Mummified remains, along with the hair and bones of an individual buried in an ancient tomb have been found at the necropolis of Porta Sarno, to the east of the ancient urban centre of Pompeii. The partially mummified remains of a freed Roman slave have been discovered within a tomb at Pompeii, offering archaeologists insights into the burial rituals and cultural climate that characterised the ancient city. The discovery was made during an excavation campaign jointly carried out by the Archaeological Park of Pompeii and the University of Valencia at the Porta Sarno necropolis. The skeletal remains were found in the single cell of a tomb dating to the final decades before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius (AD 79). Traces of paint suggest the tomb’s façade was decorated. Initial osteological analysis indicated the deceased was 60 years old at the time of death, and grave goods recovered from the tomb included two glass unguentaria (or tears vessels) and pieces of fabric. The remains have been transported to the Laboratory of Applied Research at Pompeii for in-depth analysis and conservation. Work has begun to ensure the maintenance of the Porta Sarno necropolis, as part of a wider project seeking to restore the area, with a prospective aim of allowing access to visitors. A great experience for travelling....

Blessings of Thanksgiving

As we gather with family and friends or travel to “go home” for Thanksgiving, I’m well aware that not every home is a happy place. Sometimes it’s hard to have faith, even for those who believe and trust Christ as Lord and Savior. Often, when our faith runs low, it's moments have a lot to do with our current life circumstances. These Circumstances do matter, as they often weaken our faith and beliefs within us. But, Don't let it fill you with rage. That’s where giving thanks can come in. The giving of thanks in itself is an act of trust. As you go home or to a personal place this Thanksgiving, as you re-enter circumstances and situations that remind you of painful times, always remember to be thankful. Giving thanks concedes that we are debtors to God (or faith belief) and that we depend upon Him. Try saying something like the following: “Lord, even though I don’t understand everything that’s going on, I’m going to give you thanks for your kindness, your mercies, and all the blessings I have received. Lord, I love you, and I entrust myself to you.” The Scriptures within our lives tell us to be thankful for all things. We’re not meant to be grateful for all things, but in every circumstance, especially in hardship, we can and should be thankful for what we do have. Giving thanks is an act of trust and, when repeated, is an act of spiritual nourishment that can shape our spiritual beliefs, heightened our awareness, and build our faith. Everyone have a Blessed Thanksgiving and enjoy the moments that bind us all together as one unity of spiritual energies....

2020 and 2021 will be the year of the Hispanic consumer

September 15 to October 15 is National Hispanic American Heritage Month 2020 - 2021 will be the year of the Hispanic consumer. Marketers who invest in the Hispanic opportunity for the long run, secure upper management buy-in, partner with multicultural marketing experts (like Tridence), and leverage cultural intelligence to develop and execute a strategy to connect and reach U.S. Hispanic consumers will be rewarded with growth. Now that’s something to celebrate truly. If you are a marketer looking to grow your brand, repeat after me – $1.5 trillion – 212% growth – $1.5 trillion – 212% growth (Hispanic online Marketing). These figures alone should lead you to take a hard look at the Hispanic market to drive growth today. Right now, Hispanics account for one out of every six Americans and their aggregate buying power is larger than the GDP of Australia. “If you’re going to spend time and money marketing to this audience, you want to take the best approach to develop an authentic Humanizing Brand message,” CEO David Vega of Tridence. “You need to understand culture points and brand preference, why they purchase some products and not others.” In addition, marketers should not just translate English into Spanish and assume they have checked the box. Marketers that are spending to reach the audience for the first time must first build a relationship. This audience is the primary growth market in the U.S., and you can't just have one message to all. Looking to grow within the Hispanic markets. 7722What is a Spiritual Awakening and how does it help you in finding the purpose of your life?

What is a Spiritual Awakening and how does it help you in finding the purpose of your life?

A spiritual awakening is an extraordinary moment when a person reaches a point in their existence when they begin to question their old beliefs, practices, and customs of living, thus they have a “wake up” experience of life. A spiritual awakening is not fixed; it can happen at any moment in one’s life. It can be inspired by a major illness, a breakup, which creates a deeper desire in a person to search for a greater meaning in their existence. Common signs of spiritual awakening may include bouts of depression and anxiety, feeling as though their life has changed forever and they are no longer the same person anymore or feeling a sense of uncertainty or fear about the path their life is taking. The emergence of a spiritual awakening in a person marks the beginning of the search for our soul work and spiritual paths. The purpose of every being is to realize their life’s destiny, which depends on their personal tastes, interests, and dreams. Despite where we come from, our skin color, gender, or ethnicity, it is vital for every being to go through a spiritual awakening once in their life because it makes them a soulfully and spiritually mature person. It shreds of our immature, childish selves and makes us realize our worth and our purpose in this life. A step to receive physical and spiritual maturity is going through a process of soul work, which is the process of figuring out who we are and what do we want in life. The aim of Soul Work is to help the being realize who they are and what they want in life, it helps us feel soulfully mature. In order to figure out our soul, we must listen to it, understand ourselves, and learn how to embody our goals and ambitions. A being who has gone through the process of realizing their soul work is called an Elder Soul: someone who knows themselves and what they want in life. Someone who has matured to a great extent by weathering through storms, navigating through life’s most dangerous and pivotal moments, received setbacks and struggled through them to stand tall as an awakened being and self-actualized person. Before we can start listening to our souls and understand the purpose of our lives, we must begin by removing the obstacles in our paths such as toxic beliefs, stereotypes, old fears, repressed feelings, etc. since these barriers might prevent us from discovering our inner selves and create a vicious circularity of fear, anxiety, and depression. There are six ways through which one can progress through the process of soul work and advance to a level of inner peace and self-assurance....
