◈ Crypto · Tokens · Custody · 2026
Cryptocurrency products that pass audit week and survive bear markets.
Tridence designs and ships cryptocurrency products—wallets, exchanges, payment rails, and tokenized-asset platforms—built to the standards a regulator, a security firm, and a treasurer can all sign off on. We focus on engineering, not on price commentary.
Tailored · To your scope · No flat-rate menus
The honest part
Cryptocurrency is an engineering problem first.
Most public crypto failures are not protocol failures. They are key-management failures, custody failures, integration failures, and "the founder kept the seed phrase in iCloud" failures. We treat crypto products like the regulated financial software they have to behave as.
Token · Launch · Pray
A whitepaper. A roadmap. A multisig with three founders, no recovery plan, and no monitoring. The first incident is also the last.
This is the project that ends in a forensic report.
Engineer · Custody · Operate
Threat model on day one. HSM- or MPC-backed custody. Monitoring on every flow. Incident-response runbooks rehearsed before launch. Auditors and counsel involved early, not after.
This is the crypto product that earns institutional users.
What we ship
Six crypto disciplines. One security bar.
Whether you are building a wallet, integrating crypto payments, tokenizing an asset, or operating an exchange-grade flow, the work fits one of these tracks.
Wallets & custody
Self-custodial, custodial, and MPC wallets for retail and institutional users. Hardware-key integration, social recovery, multi-sig, and recovery flows tested with real users.
Crypto payments & on/off-ramps
Stablecoin and L2 payment rails, merchant integrations, KYC/AML-compliant on/off-ramps via licensed partners, and reconciliation that matches the chain to the books.
Exchange & trading infrastructure
Order books, matching engines, market-data pipelines, and the unsexy plumbing—settlement, reconciliation, and audit trails—that exchange-grade products require.
Tokenization & RWA platforms
Tokenized funds, real-world assets, and registry-grade records. Compliant issuance flows, transfer restrictions, and reporting tooling coordinated with your legal counsel.
DeFi integrations & strategies
Read-only dashboards, treasury-grade integrations with major protocols, and risk-monitored automation. We do not yield-chase. We do not ship anonymous-team integrations.
Security, monitoring & IR
Threat modeling, key ceremonies, transaction monitoring, anomaly detection, and incident-response runbooks. The day something goes wrong, the playbook is already written.
How engagements start
Three entry points. One standard.
No SKUs, no flat-rate menus. Pick the front door that matches where you are; we size the work after a real conversation.
Crypto Readiness Audit
~2 weeks · Fixed scope
- Threat & key-management review
- Custody & recovery teardown
- Compliance & partner mapping
- 90-day remediation plan
End-to-End Crypto Product
10–20 weeks · Outcome-based
- Wallet, payments, or exchange flows
- Custody & key ceremony
- SOC 2-aligned controls
- Incident-response runbooks live
Continuous Crypto Ops
Monthly · 24/7 monitoring
- Transaction & anomaly monitoring
- Key rotation & ceremony cadence
- Quarterly security re-checks
- Regulatory change tracking
How the work moves
Threat-model. Build. Custody. Operate.
Every engagement runs on the same loop. The names are unglamorous on purpose.
What can go wrong
Counterparties, key holders, attack surfaces, regulatory exposure, and the failure modes that have killed similar products—named in writing before code starts.
Engineer for audit
Wallets, payment rails, or exchange flows engineered to SOC 2-aligned controls. Logging, separation of duties, and reproducible builds from day one.
Keys & ceremonies
HSM, MPC, or hardware-multisig custody chosen for the threat model. Key ceremonies documented and rehearsed. Recovery tested before any user is on the platform.
Monitor & respond
24/7 transaction and anomaly monitoring, on-call rotation, regulatory-change tracking, and incident-response drills run on a schedule, not after an incident.
The stack
Networks, custody, and tools we ship with.
We work with established networks, audited libraries, and licensed partners. Speculative chains and anonymous-team protocols do not make the list.
FAQ
Cryptocurrency questions, answered honestly.
Do you give investment advice?
No. We are an engineering firm. We do not advise on what to buy, hold, or sell, and we do not run portfolios. We build the software that makes crypto products work.
Do you launch tokens?
We work with experienced token-design counsel when a token is genuinely warranted. Most projects we engage with end up not needing a token, and that conversation usually saves a year and a regulatory headache.
Custodial or self-custodial?
Depends on the user, the regulatory posture, and the threat model. Both are valid. We will tell you which one fits before we write the contract, not after.
How do you handle compliance?
KYC/AML integrations through licensed partners, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and coordination with your legal counsel and any regulators in scope. Compliance is a design constraint from day one.
What about audits and security?
External smart-contract audits before mainnet, regular pen tests on application surfaces, and SOC 2-aligned operational controls. Bug-bounty programs go live before any meaningful value is on the platform.
What does it cost?
Tailored to scope. There is no flat-rate menu. We size the work after a 15-minute discovery and a feasibility pass, never before.
Got a wallet, a payment rail, or a custody flow that needs a grown-up in the room?
Bring the threat model and the failure modes you cannot afford. Fifteen minutes, real engineers, no slide deck.
