Jacksonville Light Boat Parade & Fireworks
Jacksonville Light Boat Parade returns Thanksgiving weekend and has been a holiday tradition for more than 30 years.
The Jacksonville Light Boat Parade will be held on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020 at 6:00 pm on the St. Johns River, the City of Jacksonville announced.
Vessels of all shapes and sizes adorn their hulls with festive decorations as they float along the north and south banks of the St. Johns River. Residents and visitors alike gather downtown along the North and Southbank Riverwalks, including Riverfront Plaza and Friendship Fountain, to witness this magical event.
The evening will close with one of the most memorable fireworks shows on the First Coast! Fireworks will be launched from a barge located in the St. Johns River, placed between the Hyatt Regency Riverfront and DoubleTree hotels, as well as the Acosta Bridge. The show will also feature the famous “waterfalls” off of the Main Street and Acosta bridges.
The fireworks show will begin at approximately 8 p.m.
Viewing Areas
The Jacksonville Light Boat Parade and fireworks show can be viewed from the north and south banks of the St. Johns River. The parade route will begin at the Hyatt Regency Riverfront Hotel and follow the Northbank Riverwalk to the Fuller Warren Bridge.
