A New Era of Luxury: The Four Seasons Jacksonville

The proposed Four Seasons complex in Jacksonville is more than just a structural addition; it's a gateway to a new era of luxury in the city. The complex will house an array of amenities, including the Five-Star Four Seasons hotel, luxury residences, an elite sports performance center, and premium office space. This one-of-a-kind development will provide a much-needed upscale experience, raising Jacksonville's profile as a prime destination for business and leisure.

Design Details

Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Jacksonville will have 170 guestrooms and suites, 26 private residences, and four dining and lounge outlets, including a signature rooftop restaurant and bar, an all-day restaurant, a pool bar and grill, and a lobby bar. Other public spaces include a spa, multiple outdoor pools (with cabana service), a gym, a meeting and event room, and the Kids For All Seasons Program. The hotel will also provide access to a redeveloped marina for experiences along the St. Johns River.

Pininfarina America created the initial conceptual design for the project. HKS is the lead design architect, partnering with ODA for interior design and EDSA for landscape design. HKS has worked on Four Seasons projects in The Bahamas, Hawaii, Orlando, and Denver.

Other Four Seasons properties in Florida include hotels in Orlando, Palm Beach, Surfside, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale, and an upcoming resort in Naples.

The property will be the second Four Seasons property for Khan, the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League. In September 2016, Khan purchased full ownership of Four Seasons Hotel Toronto—regarded as the flagship property for the Toronto-based Four Seasons brand—managed by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

Integrating Opulence with Sports: The Elite Sports Performance Center

Of particular note is the state-of-the-art sports performance center within the complex. This addition signals a seamless integration of luxury with sports, catering to local and international athletes. The center will offer cutting-edge facilities and expertise, potentially transforming Jacksonville into a global sports training and rehabilitation hub.

Impact on Jacksonville's Economy

Beyond the glitz and glamor of the Four Seasons Jacksonville, Shad Khan's vision has far-reaching implications for the local economy. The complex is expected to boost employment opportunities and tourism, driving substantial growth in the local economy. This bold move is a testament to Khan's dedication to Jacksonville's prosperity and steadfast belief in the city's potential.

Jacksonville continuing growth

Shad Khan's partnership with the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is more than a real estate venture. It's a statement of intent, a testament to his belief in Jacksonville's potential, and a clear signal of his commitment to the city's growth. The Four Seasons Jacksonville is set to redefine luxury and elevate the city's global stature, solidifying Khan's legacy as a transformative figure in Jacksonville's history.

In addition to Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Jacksonville, phase one of the Jacksonville Shipyards will include a six-story office building, a revamped full-service marina, a reinvigorated Metropolitan Park, a marina services building, and a public park.

The project also will include ample park space and walking paths connecting to the riverwalk, which will span from downtown Jacksonville to Metropolitan Park. Meanwhile, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ business staff will move into the adjacent office building.

Phase two of the Jacksonville Shipyards will include a five-acre property slated for mixed-use development. Initial plans include a medical component. Other potential uses include retail, residential, additional parking, and green space.

“I have immense love and respect for Jacksonville and Four Seasons,” Khan said. “So, it’s always been about connecting the two because they have so much to offer each other. Four Seasons is an iconic brand that will redefine Downtown Jacksonville and provide a luxury destination that we have been unable to offer until now. Jacksonville, in turn, will offer the new Four Seasons Hotel a spectacular setting on the banks of the St. Johns River and provide our entire community a reason to rally around the Shipyards, the Stadium of the Future, and the overall future of Downtown Jacksonville. I’ve said that Four Seasons will be a game-changer for Jacksonville, and the change begins now.”
