Google shopping update focuses on deals with coupons

Guess what? Online shopping got much more accessible this holiday season with the help of New Coupons, Price Insights, & Side-By-Side Deals features. The new coupon and promotion features, side-by-side deal views, and price insights navigator enable users to find deals across the web using Google Search.

This was launched before the holiday shopping season, and Google said it would help users find deals and get the perfect gift at an affordable price.

A new promotion badge will appear in Google Search when a special promotion is running on an item. There are now new coupons and promotions labels in the shopping search results. Additionally, Google has added a coupon clipping feature, making copying promo codes easy.­

In Google Search, you can now compare two or more deals side-by-side. For instance, if you search for a women's puffer coat, Google will show a side-by-side comparison of available puffer coats.

­In addition to the new design, Google launched a new price insights feature. Price insights help users compare different prices they see and make better buying decisions. With price insights, you can compare one merchant's worth to others and see if it's the low, typical, or high cost.
