Kudos to the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department for launching the new Marine Station 68 in Mandarin! This cutting-edge facility promises round-the-clock marine services to Southside, NAS Jax, the Buckman Bridge, and Julington Creek, significantly slashing response times for boaters and those in urgent need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayor Donna Deegan highlighted at Wednesday's ribbon cutting, \"We've been feeling the absence of marine coverage in this part of town for a while. Previously, it took a marine unit from Metropolitan Park at least 25 minutes to reach the Mandarin and Buckman Bridge area.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
