Google is launching a new Android feature called \u201cNearby Share\u201d that enables direct sharing between any device running Android 6 and up.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nearby Share works very much like Apple\u2019s AirDrop feature for the iPhone: you simply select the Nearby Share button on the share menu and then wait for a nearby phone to appear.&nbsp;Google says it\u2019s even possible to \u201csend and receive files anonymously.\u201d \ud83d\udc49 This could potentially be an annoyance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nearby Share works between Android phones and will work with Chromebooks \u201cin the coming months,\u201d but it can\u2019t share to iOS devices, Macs, or Windows machines at this time.
